Notes for Eunice Marqurite REED
Eunice’s nickname was: “Toad,” named by her father. Her brother, Howard, always called her that. Eunice loved horses and alway kept several.2 She was a co-founder of the Rugmakers Riding Club.74 She was a charter member of the New York State Saddlehorse Association.74 Eunice also loved history and company. Friends and neighbors were always welcome and were always stopping by for a cup of coffee.2

1915:

"Eunice was born Tuesday evening 8:30 p.m."3

1925:
As of Jun 1925, Eunice (age 10) lived on the family farm on what was then called Cranes Hollow Road (now McQuade Road) with her father, Harry, her mother, Bertha, her brothers, Edward (age 12) and Howard (age 8), and her sister, Blanche (age 6). Also living on the farm were two hired workers: Edith Belfance (age 18) who did housework and Frank Dense (age 47) who was a farm laborer.16

1937:
Miss Eunice Reed was baptised and confirmed 13 June 1937 at the Reformed Church of Cranesville, New York.78

1940:
As of 11 May 1940, Eunice was 24 years old and was still living on her family farm in the town of Amsterdam, RFD#5. Others living at the same address were her father, Harry (age 56), her brother, Edward (age 26) and her brother, Howard (age 22).17 Her sister, Blanche, had passed away several months earlier in October 1939. Eunice worked hours a week as an examiner in a shoe factory and earned an annual salary of $300.00.17

1946:
She was an inactive member of the Cranesville Reformed Church, as of 1946.75 When Eunice attended service, she usually attended a Catholic church, especially the Martyrs Shrine, Auriesville, New York, which she loved.

1950:
As of 16 May 1950, Eunice was married and still living on the family farm near Cranesville, New York with her husband, Leo Przybylo, their children Leo, Jr. “Butch”, Harry “Jim”, Dianne and Virginia “Ginger” and Eunice’s father, Harry “Jump”. Also, boarding and working on the farm as a laborer was Frank Albright. Eunice was age 34, Leo was age 33, Butch was age 9, Jim was age 8, Dianne was age 5, and Ginger was age 4. Harry “Jump” Reed was age 65 and worked part time on the farm. Frank Albright was also age 65. Eunice was a homemaker and Leo managed a restaurant (bar) which he owned.65,2
