1639:
The Church of Christ at Milford was organized 22 Aug 1639 in New Haven, Connecticut. “Thomas Buckingham was one of the seven pillars of whcih it was composed”1363

Thomas Buckingham and family moved to Milford from New Haven in the fall of 1639 along with a group of others that included Mr. Peter Prudden who was the pastor who first settled the town.1363

“His house lot containing three acres, was a little above the Second Congregational meeting house, to the right, and on the corner”1362
