Tekla Humeniuk immigrated to the United States in 1911 at age 16 on a ship named President Grant.274,282 She sailed from Hamburg on 22 Feb 1911 and she arrived in New York City, New York, USA on 9 Mar 1911.282 Her ethnicity/race/nationality was listed as Ruthenian (Russniak), she was listed as a citizen of Austria and her last address was Pomatzany, Austria.282 Her father was listed as Wasyl Humeniuk also of Pomatzany.282 Her final destination was listed as meeting her sister, also listed as Tekla Humeniuk (is this a mistake?), 21 Houston? St., New York, NY.282 She was described as being 5’4” tall, fair of complexion, with brown hair and grey eyes.282
