1883:
John M. Thatcher was born in Hagaman, New York and was a resident for most of his life, with the exception of the five years he lived in Schenectady, New York.814

1915:
As of Jun 1915, John M. (farmer, age 31) and Achsah Thatcher (age 27) lived on Church Street in the village of Hagaman, Town of Amsterdam, New York with their son, Charles (age 5) and their daughters Helen (age 7), Margaret (age 2) and Caroline (age 1). The John E. Reed family and the Harry Reed family are living as neighbors. It is not clear if they live in the same building or in seperate houses, as street numbers are not listed. All male members of the families were farmers or farm laborers, except Morris Reed who worked at a rug mill as a machinist and Frank Reed who was still in school. 61

1938:
As of 25 Oct 1938, the Thatchers lived in Hagaman, New York.766

1939:
John and Achsah Thatcher lived at 12 Church St., Hagaman, New York at the time of their daughter, Caroline’s, wedding.815

1943:
John M. Thatcher died on 17 May 1943 at 12:40 am after an illness of four years. He died at his home at 12 Church St., Hagaman, New York.814
