“She served as a Major in the Women’s Army Nurse Corps during World War II, achieving that rank in the Army Medical Specialists Corps. She served in the Mediterranean, Rome, Arno and Northern Apennines.”954” She received recognition for her services receiving the Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Meritorious Service Unit Plaque.”955 She also served in the Korea and Vietnam conflicts.43
