Ira Rankie of Cranesville, New York married Lena Wooster of Teller’s Station in Amsterdam, New York. Rev. Dr. H. H. Murdock, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Amsterdam officiated. Eugene Rankie, Ira’s brother and Caroline Wooster, Lena’s sister attended at the wedding. They enjoyed a wedding trip to New York City and sites in New Jersey. The couple lived in Cranesville, New York after the wedding, as Ira was employed with his brothers at Rankie Bros. ice firm. 53

1946:

Lena is listed in the Retired List of the Cranesville Reformed Church as follows: “Rankie Mrs Ira Sr. to 1st Methodist Ch. of Amst. N.Y. Dec. 19, 1946” along with “Rankie Miss Francis to 1st Methodist Ch. of Amst. N.Y. Dec. 19, 1946.”75

1972:
Lena lived at 202 Brookside Ave., Amsterdam prior to her death.116
Lena is buried in an unmarked grave on the John R. and Frances M. Rankie lot in the Hagaman Cemetery, Hagaman, New York. Aso of 19 Jul 2001 a metal funeral home marker marked the grave.100
