1870:
Frances Delamater was a servant on the Joseph Neff farm (Amsterdam Post Office) according to the 1870 Census (enumerated 9 Aug 1870).102

1900:
John F., who was 52 years old, a farmer, and a naturalized citizen of the US; and his wife, Frances, who was 55 years old, owned their mortgaged farm and were married for 30 years. Their children were as follows: Wallace, also a farmer, was 28years old; Eugene, a laborer in an ice house was 25 years old; James, a laborer in an ice house was 23 years old; Ira, a laborer in an ice house was 21 years old; Bertha, a machine runner in knit goods for two months out of the year was 19 years old; Eunice, who cuts ends in knit goods two months out of the year was 17 years old; and Freddy, still a student was at school and was 14 years old.49

Mrs. F. Rankie resided in Cranesville, New York.130

1913:
On 13 Apr 1913, Frances Mariah "died at her home in Cranesville at 6:45 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of six months...in her 68th year.”96 Her funeral was “held at the house [probably the Rankie Farm in Cranesville, New York] Wednesday afternoon [16 April 2013] at two o'clock.”3 She died at age 67yrs, 11mths, 20 days of a cerebral embolism caused by arterio-sclerosis.97 Edward L.(?) Wilson was listed as undertaker97 on the death certificate and was a relation of the family according to recollections of Howard F. Reed, May 1997. Charles W.(?) Robb was listed as Registrar97 of the death certificate and was a friend and neighbor from Cranesville’s "Charlie Robb's store," also according to recollections of Howard F. Reed, May 1997.

Frances Mariah was survived by her husband (Fred), five sons (Wallace, Eugene, James, Ira and Frederick all living at home), two daughters (Mrs. Harry Reed of Hagaman and Miss Eunice Rankie of Cranesville), two sisters (Mrs. Eliza Bonfey and Miss Nellie Delamater both of Gloversville), a half sister (Mrs. Philip Schoonmaker of Rifton, Ulster County) and a brother (James Delamater of Horseheads).96
