Cornelius was born about 1832.458

1850:
John Sprung/Spring (age 50) and his wife Anna M (age 45), along with their family lived in Caroga, Fulton Cnty, New York. Their children who were living at home on 7 Nov 1850 were John (age 20), Cornelius (age 18), Abram (age 16), Elisabeth (age 14), Polly (age 11), Obadiah (age 9), Andrew (age 7), Valetus (age 5) and Jacob (age 1). John and his sons John, Cornelius, and Abram were all laborers.458

1868:
In 1868, Cornelius Sprung of the Rockwood postal district was a peddler and a farmer." He owned 35 acres of land.461

1875:
As of 12 June 1875, Cornelius (age 44) and Lucinda (age 43) Sprung owned and resided in a frame house in the Town of Caroga, Fulton Cnty, New York with their six children: Amsiah (age 16), Mary (age 13), Jay (age 10), Lilly (age 3), Anderson (age 1) and Pheobe (age 2 mths.). Cornelius was a farmer.412

1881:
Three of Cornelius’ youngest children died in 1881. They were ages 13, 10 and 6.213
